Houston weather: Calm Friday, more storms Saturday

While we get to enjoy a nice, calm Friday after Thursday's tornadoes and heavy rain, more storms are possible this weekend.

Saturday is a FOX 26 Storm Alert Day. There is another elevated risk for storms from mid-morning through late afternoon.

Get news, weather and so much more on the new FOX LOCAL app.

Isolated tornadoes are possible along with brief high winds and hail.

The most likely window for the heavier storms will be from about 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. according to the latest models.

SUGGESTED: Wharton County tornado caught on camera Thursday

Beyond tomorrow afternoon, our forecast looks terrific with mild air for a couple of days, then a nice cool-down for New Year's Eve and the start of 2025.
