"Chazz was just a cheerful, bubbly, funny young man, which I would describe as funny. Just pleasant to be around," said Dawnielle Williams, the victim's mother.
Chazz William, who lives in Atlanta, was visiting his father and friends for the holidays when his life was cut short. His mother, who also lives in Atlanta, has described the grief her family is having to adjust to following her son's death.
"There’s a seven-year-old daughter that has to grow up and not have him be able to go to school meetings, to her plays, her prom, her dances, her wedding to walk her down the aisle," said Williams.
Pasadena police have not released a motive for the shooting, but officials said they received surveillance video from witnesses that showed two male suspects running away from the scene.
They describe one suspect as wearing a white and gray hoodie with black pants and the other suspect as wearing a black hoodie with black pants.

"I think this is a fine young man, a great family as you can see, that might just have gone in the neighborhood that was a little dangerous and it’s unfortunate," said James Walker, a family friend.
Chazz Williams' family is now trying to raise funds for his funeral expenses. To visit the family's GoFundMe, click here.
