Houston fire on S. Bartell: Firefighter, resident taken to hospital

HOUSTON - A firefighter and a resident were taken to the hospital after an apartment fire in Houston on Thursday morning.
The 2-alarm fire was reported shortly before 6 a.m. at the complex on S. Bartell Drive near Hearth Drive.
The Houston Fire Department responded to the scene.
Officials say four people were rescued from a burning building.
A firefighter and a resident were taken to the hospital, HFD says, but the extent of their injuries is unclear at this time.
The Red Cross is working to help the residents who were displaced by the fire.
