Houston crime: Fight believed to be between cousins leads to deadly shooting

HOUSTON - An investigation is underway following a deadly shooting in northeast Houston on Thursday afternoon. 

Houston police said the shooting occurred in the 8400 block of Sterlingshire around 2 p.m.

Police said when the fire department arrived, they found one man shot at least one time. 

That man was later pronounced dead on the scene. 

Authorities said officers talked with witnesses and found out there was some kind of argument believed to be between cousins on the front porch of a home.

Police learned of a description of the suspect, found him walking on Sterlingshire, and took him into custody. 

It's unclear at this time what the argument was about, police said.
