Suspect arrested and charged in fatal June shooting on Galveston Road

The Brief

    • Marquise Lavell Ward, 25, has been arrested and charged with murder in the June 14 shooting death of Allen Bianchino, 28, on Galveston Road.
    • Bianchino was found deceased in his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds after it collided with a parked car.

HOUSTON, Texas - Charges have been filed against Marquise Lavell Ward, 25, in connection with the fatal shooting of Allen Bianchino, 28, at 15800 Galveston Road on June 14, 2023. 

Ward is charged with murder in the 230th State District Court.

Houston Police Department (HPD) officers responded to a crash at the scene around 3:40 p.m. and discovered Bianchino in the driver’s seat of a disabled vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses reported that Bianchino's vehicle had been traveling eastbound on Galveston Road when it collided with a parked, unoccupied vehicle before coming to a stop.

 Initial descriptions of the suspects were two black males, aged between 18 and 25.

Following an extensive investigation, Ward was identified as a suspect. On December 26, officers from the HPD Narcotics Division's Tactical Team arrested Ward, who has since been charged for his involvement in the shooting.
