The National Weather Service put the area at a "slight risk" on its severe weather outlook. That's a 2 out of 5 on the NWS scale.
Severe weather means there is a potential for hail, damaging winds, more than an inch of rain and a shot at an isolated tornado.
The NWS issued a Tornado Watch until 7 p.m. for 21 counties. These counties include Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Houston, Liberty, Madison, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, Washington, and Wharton.

Timeline: The day started off with fog and some intermittent drizzle.
Thunderstorms are expected to move in late this morning.
