Olympic gold medal swimmers encourage Harris County families to learn to swim
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A group of Olympic gold medal swimmers are encouraging families to learn how to swim. Simone Manuel, Cullen Jones and Rowdy Gaines were at the Harris County Aquatics Center today promoting the “Make a Splash" initiative.
The program provides free or low-cost swimming lessons for children. An estimated 10 people drown in the US every day. You can find more information on the “Make a Splash” program at this link.
