Gunshots leave 1 man dead in southwest Houston
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Homicide detectives are investigating the scene where two young men were shot in southwest Houston, leaving one dead and the other injured.
As children were playing outside, gunshots were fired just before 5 p.m. Thursday at the Waterfall Park Apartments on Corporate Drive. One victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Officers found the other victim's body in between two of the apartment complex buildings. Both men are believed to be in their early 20s.
Houston police believe one of the men lived at the complex. Prior to this incident, shots were fired two miles away at Belle Park where one person was injured, but it's too early to tell if these incidents are related.
