Fried Chicken Parlour in Midtown combines Texas, Indian cuisine

Katie Stone visits with Chef Jassie Bindra (of Amrina fame) and affirms her belief that when fine dining chefs step into a casual restaurant the cooking style and the sauces are way above what you would expect in a fried chicken shop.

Pok Pok Po located in Midtown at 3291 Louisiana is a recently opened "Fried Chicken Parlour" from the Kahani Social Group.

Open Sunday – Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight offers a concise menu. Chicken strips are made from the thigh meat, chicken bites from the breast. The birds are never given antibiotics or hormones and are raised cage-free.

Pok Pok Po offers a flavorful twist on a timeless classic by combining culinary traditions from Texas and Indian cultures.
