15-year-old shot, killed after shootout in southwest Houston
HOUSTON - A 15-year-old girl is dead and two others injured after being shot in southwest Houston on Friday night.
Houston police say around 9:05 p.m. in the parking lot of a strip center located at 6237 Bellaire Boulevard. People in two vehicles got into an altercation, and it escalated into a shootout where three people were shot.
The 15-year-old girl who was hit died at the hospital. Two men, 29 and another believed to be 21, were both taken to hospitals with gunshot wounds. Police say the younger man remains in critical condition, while the older man is expected to recover, police said.

It is unclear if the two groups knew each other, and detectives are working to identify the individuals who fired weapons during the exchange. The investigation is ongoing.
