J.J. Watt named PFWA Defensive Player of the Year
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Texans star J.J. Watt has been named Defensive Player of the Year by the Professional Football Writers of America for the third time in his career.
Watt now joins Reggie White and Bruce Smith as the only players to win the award three times. He's the first player in NFL history to win the award in back-to-back years.
This past season, Watt led the league with 17.5 sacks, 29 tackles for loss, and 50 quarterback hits.
