At this time, Bregman is a free agent and reportedly turned down a six-year, $156 million contract offer from the Houston MLB team.
What if Alex Bregman leaves the Astros?
What's next:
If Bregman does not re-sign and leaves the Astros, Isaac Paredes will play third base for this upcoming season.
Paredes was recently traded by the Cubs in exchange for former Astros right fielder Kyle Tucker back in December. The Cubs also traded the Astros Hayden Wesneski and Cam Smith for Tucker.
