Two men killed while playing with gun in Southeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX - HPD is investigating a double homicide at an apartment complex in the 4000 block of Corder near Scott St.  Two young men dead after gunplay at a Southeast Houston apartment complex. One of the victims is a 17-year-old, Jordan Coleman.  The 21-year-old has been identified as Alfred Wayne Harris, Jr.

Coleman and Harris were reportedly both playing with a handgun. One was shot in the neck, and the other, the stomach.  Both men were taken to separate hospitals--Ben Taub and Memorial Hermann where they were pronounced dead. Jordan Coleman was a student of Worthing High School. One of the young men's sisters warned them to stop during their gunplay, but they continued.  Coleman's mother said she was devastated by her loss and in "total disbelief."
