Shelter-in-place order at Exxon Mobil Corporation facility in Baytown

BAYTOWN, Texas (FOX 26) - Employees at the Exxon Mobil Corporation Baytown Refinery have been told to shelter in place as a precaution to ensure their safety, but no evacuations have been ordered for residents nearby.
The refinery had an operational issue on Wednesday afternoon that resulted in a release.
The ExxonMobil industrial hygiene staff is conducting air quality monitoring around the facility and in the nearby community before resuming routine operations, according to a spokesman for the corporation.
