'Ozark' star invites you to be his buddy this weekend in Sugar Land

A star from the hit Neflix show, Ozark, wants to invite you to be his buddy!

Evan George Vourazeris is inspiring people across the country. While Evan has a busy acting career, he still takes time to share motivational speeches and hold anti-bullying conversations.

This weekend, he invites you to The Buddy Walk in Sugar Land to help further this important conversation.

You may recognize Evan as "Tuck" on the hit series 'Ozark' on Netflix. The Houstonian got a huge break in his acting career in 2017 on Jason Bateman's popular show.

"I started acting back in 2012. I had a friend that inspired me to be an actor. She attended the Art Institute of Houston and she thought I was going to be a good actor," smiles Evan. She was right! Evan cherishes his successful career.

His friends and family have helped him climb to the top. "My mom and my dad supported me and love me just the way I am. But my friend just helped me through the through the journey," says Evan.

Evan is quite the motivational speaker, talking to more than half a million children across the country, encouraging them to stop bullies in their tracks. He even stars in a documentary to help change the way everyone views disabilities. He doesn't call it a disability, but WeSEEabilities and shares his life lessons as an actor with down syndrome through his puppet, Christopher.

"The only the only thing I want to encourage people is to never give up. Always believe in yourself and there will always be other amazing speakers throughout Houston so I'm very thankful for all these years with the Houston Buddy Walk," says Evan.

Evan will be encouraging people this weekend in Sugar Land during the annual Buddy Walk! You can meet up with him at Constellation Field.

The 13th Annual Margarita Taste-Off benefitting Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance is Sunday.

"The goal of the Buddy Walk is celebrating people with developmental disabilities throughout the United States, but the people that live in Houston surrounding areas, to be able to celebrate them because every once a year, they do a Buddy Walk and to celebrate them and honor them and their accomplishments and also wholesome life and raising money for the Buddy Walk will go towards them. children that have developmental disabilities, so they can help their families and that's what the money is for," says Evan.

You can expect everything from face painting to superheroes to be on hand and Evan will share a motivational speech to fire-up the crowd.

The Buddy Walk is Saturday, November 6th from 10am - 2pm at Constellation Field in Sugar Land.
