Montgomery County officer fired for allegedly possessing child pornography
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - A police officer in Oak Ridge North has been terminated after his arrest in connection with an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation, city officials announced Thursday.
Patrick Hosford, who joined the Oak Ridge North Police Department on Oct. 30, 2024, was fired effective Wednesday, after evidence revealed his involvement in the possession of child pornography, according to a city statement.

Court documents accuse Hosford of having a 27-second video showing the sexual assault of a child under 10-years-old.
The crime is a first-degree felony and carries a potential sentence of up to life imprisonment if he is convicted.
Oak Ridge North Police Department is conducting an internal review of city computer systems to ensure no inappropriate or unlawful material was sent or received using city equipment. Officials are also reviewing internal processes and working with law enforcement partners to strengthen safeguards.

"This betrayal of trust is deeply disturbing and completely unacceptable," the statement read. "We are fully cooperating with all investigating agencies to ensure this individual is held accountable to the fullest extent of the law."
