Mandatory, voluntary evacuations in Brazoria County

Mandatory evacuation orders continue in Brazoria County.

Matt Sebesta, who serves as Brazoria County Judge, has issued a mandatory evacuation on Tuesday for residents living on County Road 400 from FM 521 to FM 2004 with a dusk-to-dawn curfew effective immediately. He also recommended a voluntary evacuation for residents on County Road 400 from FM 2004 to State Highway 36.

County Judge Sebesta issued a mandatory evacuation on Monday for residents in the Sugar Mill subdivision, Buffalo Camp Farms and along County Road 674 with a dusk-to-dawn curfew in effect as of Tuesday.

On Friday morning, Judge Sebesta issued a mandatory evacuation for residents north of County Road 30S, which includes County Road 42, FM 1462 from FM 521 to east of the Brazos River, Sun Creek Estates west of Cypress Hill Drive (CR 713N), the Pecan Bend area, County Road 36, County Road 34, County Road 31, Planter’s Point, County Road 30N.

Judge Sebesta had already issued a mandatory evacuation order on Thursday for residents in the area west of Oyster Creek and east of the Brazos River on FM 1462. Anyone on roads off of FM 1462 between Oyster Creek and the Brazos River are affected by the mandatory evacuation.
