Houston shooting: Man killed after argument in Alief, suspect still not found

One man is dead after being involved in an argument in southwest Houston and the suspected shooter is still at large.

Houston Police Department Lieutenant J.P. Horelica says the suspect was last seen running north on Wilcrest Drive.

1 killed in shooting on Beechnut Street

What we know:

Officers were called to 10900 Beechnut Street near Wilcrest Drive about a shooting.

One man was found dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.

Based on preliminary investigation, Lt. Horelica says two men got into an argument which turned physical. One man pulled out a weapon and shot at the victim multiple times.

The suspect was described as a Black male with dreadlocks, last seen wearing a multicolored white and blue hoodie.

What we don't know:

Houston police have not been able to identify the suspect.
