Houston hit-and-run crash: Driver killed, woman injured on I-45 Gulf Freeway
HOUSTON - A driver is dead and a woman is in the hospital after a hit-and-run crash on the I-45 Gulf Freeway, Houston police say.
The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the 8300 block of the Gulf Freeway.

Police say witnesses saw a black pickup truck going over 100 mph and weaving through traffic. The black pickup truck struck a blue Mustang and then a white Jeep, police say.
The Jeep ended up on its roof. The driver, believed to be in his 30s, died in the crash. A woman in the Jeep was taken to the hospital with injuries.

No injuries were reported to anyone in the Mustang, which remained at the scene, according to police.
Police say the black pickup truck left the scene at a high rate of speed going northbound.
