Forum Park Drive shooting: Suspect wanted in murder of Houston mother

After more than three months, the Houston Police Department has identified a suspect wanted for the deadly shooting of a woman in southwest Houston.

The suspect, 26-year-old Camilo Ayala, is wanted for the death of Kenia Guardado-Molina, 27, who was found shot dead at 9898 Forum Park Drive on Oct. 1.

Ayala is not in custody at this time.

What we know:

Around 9 a.m. on Oct. 1, family members of Guardado went to check on her at her apartment on Forum Park Drive after she did not pick up her child from the babysitter. Relatives also had not heard from her.

Guardado was found dead inside her apartment with at least one gunshot wound.

Ayala was identified as a suspect and charged with murder.

What we don't know:

Houston police have not been able to locate Ayala, and they do not know where he could be located at this time.

Authorities also have not shared the possible motive behind the shooting.

What we know:

Camilo Ayala is wanted for the murder of Kenia Guardado-Molina who was found dead in a Houston-area apartment on Oct. 1.

According to Houston police, Ayala was also charged with the sexual assault of a woman at a club on June 14, 2024.
