Bacliff murder: Teen, her boyfriend charged in grandmother's murder, court document details
GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas - Galveston County court documents reveal more details regarding the death of Tammy King, who was found in her Bacliff home.
Teenagers Uriah Urick, 18, and Tara King, 17, have been arrested and charged with capital murder in connection King's death. The two were found in Laredo.

What does the probable cause affidavit state?
A complaint document states a man contacted Galveston County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) to conduct a welfare check on King at her home after not hearing from her since Wednesday morning.
When they arrived, King was found dead inside her bedroom. Authorities at the scene saw the home appeared to be ransacked, firearms were missing from the safes in her bedroom, and her purse was emptied.

According to records, on the night of Feb. 4, a male witness stated he had been at King’s home with King, her granddaughter Tara King, and Tara King’s boyfriend "Percy" as the man knew him but was later learned to be Uriah Urick.
The next day, the witness said Tammy King and Tara King were arguing because Tara did not want to go to school.
Galveston County Medical Examiner determined King’s time of death to be in the early morning on Wednesday.
Uriah Urick's family:
Investigators spoke with Urick’s mother, who told them Urick had previously threatened to stab his stepfather and that his younger siblings were afraid of him. Urick was also allegedly physically abusive to his siblings and they hate him.
His mother stated Urick had not returned home when officials knocked on her door on Feb. 7 around 2 a.m.
Urick told his mother not to look for him and to stop calling and texting his phone.

According to Urick’s mother, Tara King "hated" her grandmother, Tammy, because she would not allow Uriah to stay at her home. She even claims Tara made threatening statements and wanted Tammy King to die.
Uriah’s step-father even stated to officials he believed Urick could kill Tammy King "due to his violent tendencies", documents wrote.
Investigators hold interviews after King’s death
What they're saying:
One man interviewed by investigators said Tara King reached out on Instagram asking for a ride to Wyoming for $300 and added that her boyfriend "has guns that are really sentimental to him", asking if he could leave them in the trunk.
The man said he refused because he had college but asked another male friend to pick Tara and her boyfriend up.
Investigators spoke to this second male who told them he received a call from Urick around 12:28 p.m. on Feb. 5 and shared the address to come pick him and Tara King up.

When he arrived, King and Urick put two assault rifle-style bags into the trunk before getting into the vehicle, records wrote. He drove the two teens to a business in Pearland where they met with a man and got into a Jeep Wrangler.
A third person, a female, called GCSO investigators to say she texted Tara King. King told her she had run away and would miss her.
The female shared screenshots with investigators and King claimed her grandmother was abusive and used cocaine. When the girl asked Tara if she was able to get her social security card and birth certificate, Tara King responded, "I’m not gonna be able to talk to my family after this."

Court documents show the female sent Tara King a screenshot of the persons of interest flier from GCSO and asked, "Did you kill her?", but Tara did not reply to the question.
On Feb. 8, records show a fourth person reached out to GCSO investigators to say Tara King and Uriah Urick stayed with him. When he spoke with investigators, he said King and Urick paid him $500 to stay with him and offered him another $1,000 to drive them to a northern state.
The two teens got to the man’s home around 6 p.m. on Feb. 5. According to the male, the two cut and dyed their hair.

Records state the male said King and Urick had been trying to sell their firearms.
When the male returned from work around 6 p.m. on Feb. 7, both the teens had been gone. Authorities recovered a pistol and a rifle from his home, documents state.
Galveston County investigators also report another female reached out after Tara King asked for a ride in exchange for $1,000.
The person also reported that King admitted to a friend she and Urick killed Tammy King because they were angry at her and high on meth. They also allegedly admitted to stealing money and her guns.
