Athens bank robber arrested in South Carolina

ATHENS, Ga. - The search for Athens bank robbery suspect Frank Douglas, has ended in Greenville, South Carolina. 

Douglas, 58, is accused of walking into an Athens bank, said he was armed but never showed a weapon. He then demanded money, and walked away with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police. 

Athens-Clarke County Police released surveillance video from a robbery Tuesday at the Bank of America off Gaines School Road.

The man then fled the scene.

Douglas is from North Augusta, South Carolina and has active warrants for a bank robbery in North Augusta.
