Texas weather: Tropical cyclone forming in the Gulf of Mexico hopes to bring some relief to Houston drought
HOUSTON - A developing low in the Gulf of Mexico will head toward South Texas through Tuesday, but the Houston area will be close enough to see some rain.
Isolated late-day storms are possible Monday, then a better chance for showers and a few storms Tuesday.
We'll quickly pivot back to very hot air Wednesday through the weekend but with isolated evening storms possible.
