Houston weather: Warmup on the the way for the weekend

A cold front that brought the chance for showers and a few strong storms will bring in cooler and drier air for tonight. That will mean an end to the widespread fog and any rain and storm threat with temperatures dipping to the low 50s for Houston overnight.

TONIGHT: Houston will be drying out after several days of clouds and rounds of rain. A cold front is ushering in cooler and drier air that will drop temperatures to near 50 by Friday morning. Clouds will be breaking up, which will mean more sunshine during the day on Friday.
