Models are showing 2 to 4 inches of rain possible in total and the highest amounts will likely be close to the coast.
Be aware of the chance of isolated street flooding. Rain will likely linger into the early morning hours of Friday. There's a low risk of street flooding stretching from Houston to Galveston so make sure to turn around if you encounter any flooded roads.
Winds will also be a big story as a Wind Advisory is in effect along the coast until Friday morning. Gusts up to 40 mph are possible, and we turn blustery behind the rain on Friday.
Highs remain in the 40s through Friday, and we will return to the 50s with sunshine by the weekend.
