Snow in Houston: How much snow fell in southeast Texas
HOUSTON - The snowfall in the Houston area is starting to come to an end, and we are beginning to get an idea of just how much snow has fallen across our area.

By the numbers:
The National Weather Service says most of the Houston area saw two to four inches of snow.
There is a band of snow where people saw a bit more, with three to four inches falling.
Some isolated spots saw more snow, with Baytown reporting 5.5 inches!

FOX 26 meteorologists Mike Iscovitz and John Dawson take a look at the conditions across the region after snowfall overnight into Tuesday morning. The cold is not over yet! How it could impact the Houston area.
Timeline:
The snow wound down on Tuesday, but the cold temperatures will stick around.
Temperatures are going to climb above freezing for most of our area later on Tuesday.
A Winter Storm Warning lasts until 6 p.m.
The snow that has fallen could melt later today and then re-freeze overnight as temperatures plunge back below freezing.
That means there could be black ice on the roads on Wednesday morning.
An Extreme Cold Watch has been put into place from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday.
