Making the Case: Controversial arrest

The Florida state highway patrol is investigating one of it's Troppers who was seen using a taser on a teenage boy who was waiting to be let into his girlfriend's home in Ft. Myer, FL. The trooper says he tailed the teen as he walked through the neighborhood, dressed in all black. He thought the teen looked suspicious and ordered him to put his hands behind his back. When the teen did not comply, he used his taser on him twice. Many are now calling the incident racial profiling and excessive. The News Edge Early Edition legal analyst Charles Adams gave his opinion of the arrest and addressed the issue of compliance. The teen was charged with loitering, possession of medical marijuana, and given a criminal traffic violation. He is currently serving 21 days in a juvenile detention facility.
