New research from UHD shows racial disparities in breast cancer patients

Black women often face more barriers when facing their options when it comes to life after breast cancer, particularly reconstruction, according to a new journal published by Dr. Shahnjayla Connors, Assistant Professor of Health & Behavioral Science at UHD. Dr. Connors joins The Factor, along with survivor Janice Workcuff, to discuss why this happens and what must be done to give Black women a better quality of life while fighting and after beating breast cancer.
