School choice, school funding bills head to the Tx House

Long sought financial relief for our state's public schools, all teed up for passage this week by the Texas House. How much relief? An additional $8 billion worth. Enough to increase the per-pupil allotment by nearly $400, and give teachers a well-deserved raise.
