Sheriff Ed Gonzalez throws his support behind SJR-5

Fury from law enforcement across the State of Texas after a suspect charged in the killing of a Harris County undercover deputy was able to post bond and walk free, pending trial for capitol murder. This week Sheriff Ed Gonzalez publicized his support for SJR 5, the constitutional amendment granting judge's discretion to deny violent offenders bond if they pose a risk to the public.
