Milton brings tornado outbreak | Fox 26 Houston Weather Forecast
Milton made landfall as a CAT 3 hurricane Wednesday evening near Siesta Key, FL. I’m it’s wake, it left more than a foot of rain extending from Tampa to Daytona beach, very strong winds and before the storm even made landfall there was a tornado outbreak. I’m south and central Florida, there have been more than 30 confirmed tornadoes and a record number of tornado warnings for one day. Milton had already moved into the Atlantic but Milton’s impacts will be felt along the Atlantic coast of Florida through midday. SE Texas has dry air overhead keeping pleasant morning temperatures in store for the next several days. Afternoon highs will reach the low-90s today and soar to the mid-90s this weekend. Another weak front moves across the region early next week, so get ready for cooler weather!
