Francine pounds Louisiana, monitoring several other areas of disturbed weather

Francine has been downgraded to a Post-Tropical Cyclone with 25 mph winds south of Memphis. It still poses a flood threat to Tennesse, Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama, along with the threat for a few tornadoes. Francine should continue to weaken as it approaches Memphis and falls apart. There's a low 30% chance an area of low pressure could develop off the SE U.S. coast over the next few days. Another tropical wave has a low 30% chance for development just east of the Leeward Islands. Tropical Depression 7 in the central Atlantic is expected to become Hurricane Gordon soon but is not a threat to land for now.
