Francine's Aftermath | Fox 26 Houston Weather Forecast
As Tropical Storm Francine moves northward through MIssissippi today, we are on the "clean" side of the circulation, so the Houston area will experience please, quiet weather today. We are also at the beginning of a late summer warm-up with several days of low to mid-90s and only isolated showers. In fact, the next couple of weeks will, in general, remain hotter and drier than average for our area. Hurricane Francine brought life-threatening flooding to New Orleans yesterday and winds as high as 105 mph along coastal Louisiana with near 80 mph in New Orleans. The next tropical system has formed very far away in the Atlantic Ocean. Tropical Depression 7 is likely to become Tropical Storm Gordon today, but is not a concern for land at this point.
