FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast
Great news today - we are NOT under a heat advisory or warning! It will still be very warm and humid, but with the addition of scattered showers and a few storms today. This weekend will be hot & humid, but there could be a few cooling showers, especially on Sunday. Next week, an increase in moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and even the potential for a tropical wave will bring a daily chance for showers and storms, so temps will be held into the low 90s most days. As far as trouble in the tropics, everything is still quiet in the Atlantic, but it won't stay that way. We're getting closer to the busiest time of the season in early to mid September, so don't let your guard down. There is a chance for a tropical wave to contribute to our rain chances next week and a slight chance for a tropics low, so we'll monitor that, but for now all is quiet.
