Fox 26 Houston Weather Forecast

We still have two big stories in the world of weather - increasing scorching heat in Texas and torrential rainfall across the the Southeast. Beginning locally, expect a hot, humid and hazy day with highs in the upper 90s, but with hotter weather building in for tomorrow and Thursday. In fact, highs across Texas will head in the 100-105 degree range not counting the heat index. Rain chances, while not zero, do remain limited. Tropical Storm Debby has become a prolific rainmaker after dropping more than a foot of rain in Florida. Today through Thursday, the focus shifts to Georgia and the Carolinas. South Carolina has already received an estimated 10" near the coastline and a lot more is on the way as the storms slowly meanders over the next 2-3 days.
