FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast
Wet and windy weather will stick around tonight and Wednesday with impacts from potential tropical cyclone 1 moving in. Potential Tropical Cyclone One is still churning in the SW Gulf of Mexico with 40 mph winds moving north at 6 mph. It will make landfall in NE Mexico tomorrow night but will still bring the threat for flooding for areas near and south of I-10 through Wednesday. Tropical Storm warnings remain in place for much of the Texas gulf coast with wind gusts of 40-45 mph possible along with heavy rain. There's also a coastal flood warning and a high rip currents risk along the coast. Wind Advisory remains in effect until Thursday morning. So look for rough seas and 2-4' storm surge possible in coastal spots with some flooded roads possible. Heaviest rain looks to push in early Wednesday morning and stick around through Wednesday evening. Rain chances gradually get lower as we go into the weekend.
