Tropical Update: Potential storm develops in Gulf
Potential Tropical Cyclone One is still churning in the SW Gulf of Mexico with 40 mph winds moving north at 6 mph. It is still expected to turn into Tropical Storm Alberto over the next 24 hours making landfall in NE Mexico Wednesday night into early Thursday. Heavy rain threat has shifted a bit farther SW but coastal flooding, rip current risk and gusts to 40 mph are all possible for coastal communities. Flood Watch remains in place for most areas near and south of I-10.
