FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast: Rain continues Friday
Rounds of storms will stay in the forecast through at least Saturday before the pattern calms down. Strong to severe storms are rolling in this evening that could produce some strong wind and hail along with heavy downpours. Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for Houston until 9pm. Models are not in agreement on timing but it appears that a few lines of storms could impact us on Friday, one in the early morning and another in the evening. Severe storm risk increases to a 2/5 for the entire area Friday which will include a damaging wind, hail & very low tornado threat. Timing could change so be ready for active weather throughout Friday and download our FOX 26 weather app to get the latest alerts. More scattered storms are possible Saturday with lower storm chances Sunday. Pattern finally shifts to a slightly hotter but drier one for much of next week.
