FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast
Say hello to Mother's Day weekend! Much of Saturday should be dry with a few showers building in from the west late. Rain really increases Sunday and Monday with a few strong storms possible Sunday PM. Houston and areas west are under a 1/5 risk for severe storms on Sunday. Damaging winds and hail will be the main threats but the risk is low for now. There's a bigger chance for flooding on Sunday and Monday as models are indicating anywhere from 1 to 5" of rain possible. Be especially careful around the Brazos and Trinity Rivers where flooding continues from previous rain. At least temperatures will be more comfortable this weekend as you're hanging out with Mom or enjoying an event around town.
