FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast

The rain has ended for today with no additional rain expected through tonight. However, numerous Flood Warnings continue for several areas across SE Texas due to rivers, creeks and streams in minor to major flood stage. There are still many flooding reports along the Trinity, San Bernard, Brazos and San Jacinto Rivers with around 3 to 15 inches of rain falling across the area over the last 3-4 days. So please continue to be very cautious and avoid walking or driving through any flooded areas. Some of the flood warnings stick around through early next week. Look for one more round of rain to roll through Friday around 4-11 PM with a few storms possible. Severe weather is not expected and rain totals should be less than a half inch. So this round is not expected to bring significant flooding. A cold front moves through late Friday and early Saturday bringing in drier and slightly cooler air for the weekend. Get ready for some pleasant and dry afternoons with high temperatures in the 60s and jacket weather at night in the 40s this weekend.
