Clouds will increase this evening with a few showers possible before midnight. Showers will gradually increase after midnight with the peak of the heavy rain likely around 3-8 AM Friday. After that rain will gradually subside and taper off by the afternoon. This system will move pretty quickly but there's still a low chance of a few flooded streets. So be really careful in the morning. Most of the weekend is dry but rain and storms are back Monday. Fortunately NRG Stadium has a roof so the college football playoff national championship game won't be impacted. But tailgating before the big game might have some issues with weather. Temperatures are up and down over the next week.
