13 is too young to join social media, US surgeon general says

Many social media giants including Meta and Twitter currently allow 13-year-olds to join their platforms. Users found to be under the age of 13 would be in violation of the rules. However, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy says it’s a “disservice” to children.
