Attorney says Houston bar denied him entry based on his appearance

Willie Powells, a Houston attorney, says he was discriminated against at the Washington Ave. bar ‘Sugar Room.” He says he was told he couldn’t get into the building because his jeans had holes in them, but as Powells alleges, patrons who showed up after him wearing similar attire were let right in. He even has that on camera, too.
