The threat is much bigger than normal with over 1 million Houstonians still without power from Hurricane Beryl. Try to find a cooling center and try not to overdo it with cleanup if you are still without A/C. There may be a little relief the next few afternoons with spotty showers and a few storms possible. Rain chances increase Friday through Sunday. So make sure you have a tarp for your roof if you sustained damage. At least there's no other tropical activity expected in the Atlantic the next few days.
