HISD swears in new trustees, creating an all-female board

Houston ISD’s new, all-female board of trustees held its first meeting Thursday after four newly elected trustees were sworn in earlier that afternoon. At the swearing-in Thursday afternoon, Bellaire High School was brought up several times as board members worked to honor the memory of Cesar Cortes.

TEA public meetings continue ahead of HISD take over

The Texas Education Agency is hosting a series of meetings to provide information and gain feedback from the community to help with their take over process. But it left concerned parents and faculty members of Wheatley unsatisfied since they feel their questions aren’t being answered.
