MIAMI (AP) — Baltimore Ravens cornerback and former TSU star Tray Walker has passed away after police say he was involved in a dirt bike crash in Miami.

Miami-Dade Police say Walker was riding a Honda dirt bike with no lights and wearing dark clothing when he collided with a Ford Escape at about 8 p.m. Thursday.

Walker was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft. He played in eight games last season, mostly on special teams.

A native of Miami, Walker attended Miami Northwestern High School before playing in college at Texas Southern.

TSU Athletic Director Dr. Charles McClelland told FOX 26, "It's tough right now. We just got the news that Tray passed away. He was with us for four years. He was here two weeks ago working out. He was one of our prized possessions. We were so proud of him and it's devastating to get the news of such a tragic accident."

TSU junior DB Demetrius Johnson considered Walker his best friend. He told FOX 26, "When I was down, he was the one who reminded me I'm supposed to keep fighting. He meant the world to me. He was like a blood brother I never had. I feel like I lost a brother."
