Rockets, Sam Dekker reach contract agreement
The Houston Rockets and first-round pick Sam Dekker, forward from Wisconsin, reached a contract agreement on a four-year deal worth $8 million according to his agent Mark Bartelstein.
The contract is for two years plus two option years.
Dekker, the 18th-overall selection in the first round, is expected to get guaranteed money of around $3.366 million over the first two years of the contrract.
Dekker helped lead Wisconsin to the Final Four the past two years, with the Badgers losing to Duke in the NCAA championship game in April.
In three years at Wisconsin Dekker, 6-9, 230, averaged 12.1 points, five rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
