HOUSTON (FOX 26) - It does not take long to figure out who would be considered the First Family of football in Channelview. Averion Hurts Sr. has served as the head football coach for Channelview High School for eleven years. One of his sons, Averion Hurts Jr. is the starting quarterback for the Texas Southern University Tigers. His other son, Jalen, is the starting quarterback for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide.
