BAYTOWN, Texas (FOX 26) - A Houston-area woman has filed a complaint with the feds saying one of the largest convenience stores in Texas did not interview her because she can't hear.
Yolanda Willey has been deaf since having an accident as a child. But life goes on and she needed to make a living after being laid off in 2010 from a local school district. Willey's son says she thought Bucee's in Baytown was that living, until he says the manager who called to interview his mom for a job changed his mind once he learned Yolanda could not hear.
John Wiley says, "After he had found out that she was deaf, it later changed from having an interview to he was just calling around. I regret telling them because she hadn't even made it to the interview process."
