Willis family seeking justice after Kendra Casares is run over by her own vehicle

Her mother and sister are on a long search for justice.

At 23, Kendra Casares bought a house in Willis about an hour north of Houston and took care of her little boy. Now, she's the one who needs to be taken care of.

"I've had friends going through this, and I never thought I would cross this path," said Kendra's mother, Marcie Rene Boyd.

In January 2024, Kendra became a brain injury patient who is incapacitated. She got run over by her own vehicle in her own driveway.

Her mother, Marcie, says she knows who did it, but can't get law enforcement to investigate the case.

"Not being able to see her laugh like I used to, not being able to talk to her, or see her with her son," said Kendra's sister, Jenna Seaman. "They were very close, they never spent more than 24 hours apart."

It's been almost a year and justice still eludes Kendra's family.

"It would mean a lot to me," Marcie said. "But definitely to her and her grandson."
